Why I Built PostQuickAI: A Software Engineer's Take on Marketing

By Kodenark

I'm a software engineer with a full-time job and side projects. Marketing? That was my nightmare. Every evening after coding all day, I'd stare at social media trying to figure out what to post. Sound familiar?

The Solopreneur's Dilemma

Here's the reality: When you're juggling a day job, side projects, and trying to build an audience, something's gotta give. For me, it was always marketing. I'd go weeks without posting, then feel guilty about it.

I tried scheduling tools, but they just moved the problem around. I still had to create the content. That's when I thought - why not use AI to help generate the posts too?

Building My Own Solution

PostQuickAI started as a personal tool. I needed something that could:

  • Generate decent posts when I'm brain-dead after work
  • Post to all platforms without me logging in everywhere
  • Keep my social media active even when I'm deep in a coding sprint

The YOLO Mode Story

My favorite feature? YOLO mode. Sometimes I'm so busy with work that I can't even think about social media. With YOLO mode on, PostQuickAI generates and posts content automatically based on my settings. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than radio silence? Absolutely.

If you're a solopreneur juggling too many things, you get it. Marketing shouldn't be another full-time job. That's why I built PostQuickAI - to handle the marketing so I can focus on building.
