A Social Media Content Calendar That Works for Solopreneurs

Every morning used to start with the same dread: "What am I posting today?" Between my day job and side projects, I'd often forget to post for days. Then I'd panic-post something random. Not a great strategy.

The Solopreneur's Content Dilemma

Here's the thing - content calendars are great in theory. But most advice assumes you have hours to plan, create, and strategize. When you're juggling a full-time job and building on the side, you need something simpler.

My Dead-Simple Calendar Approach

I keep it ridiculously simple:

  1. Pick 3 topics I can talk about:

For me: coding tips, solopreneur struggles, and product updates

  2. Rotate them weekly:

Monday = coding, Wednesday = solopreneur life, Friday = product stuff

  3. Use AI when stuck:

PostQuickAI generates ideas when my brain is fried from work

The Calendar Tool That Actually Gets Used

I built PostQuickAI's calendar view because I needed to see what was going out at a glance. No complex features, just a simple calendar showing what posts when. That's it.

The best part? I can schedule posts for the entire month in about an hour on Sunday. Then I don't think about it again.

The Reality of Content Planning

You don't need a complex content strategy. You need:

  • A simple system you'll actually use
  • Tools that save time, not create work
  • The ability to set it and forget it

My content isn't winning awards. But it's consistent, it's out there, and it's building my audience while I focus on my actual work. For a solopreneur, that's a win.
